Shamrock Shuffle

The Media News Team will host the Shamrock Shuffle, a fitness event, to help raise money for technology.  This fundraiser is integrated with Lincoln’s fitness initiative.  We want to spread the excitement of getting active to improve our physical fitness and general good health while raising money for a good cause! 

The Shamrock Shuffle will take place on Friday, March 9, 2018.  All students are welcome to participate in this event 

Our fundraising goal is $5000, which is about $20 per student, however any amount would be very much appreciated.  The two classes bringing in the most money, one class from pre-school through 2nd grade and one class from 3rd through 5th grade, will celebrate with a party hosted by the Media News Team!

On Friday, March 9th, all students will be encouraged to wear green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day and the coming of spring!  Each class will walk around a “track” for 5-10 minutes.  Each time a student completes a lap he or she will get a ticket.  Students can redeem their tickets for snacks and refreshments at the rewards station.

Please help us reach our fundraising goal of $5000 for technology!  Technology has become an integral part of our students’ learning experience.  Gone are the days of using a computer to just check on the weather or email.  Our students are using technology to connect, research, produce, learn, and share in new and exciting ways.  Over the years, your generous donations have helped our school fund and license learning programs, computer supplies, and new media equipment.  We are continually trying to upgrade and build on our current resources.  Technology resources are critical in supporting our language arts and math programs as well as the Smarter Balanced assessment.  Last year your generous donations helped our school purchase an online typing program for students to practice their typing skills.

    So, keep an eye out for your donation envelope, marked “Shamrock Shuffle”, that went home on February 28th.  Thank you very much for your support in this event!
